from the EXILE

Poetry Blog is now active!

I finally figured out how to link my blog into my website. So try out the blog link and get some insight into some of the poems in the book

About the cover

The book's cover painting is by 19th century artist Frederick S. Dellenbaugh. Dellenbaugh accompanied the Harriman Expedition in 1899 to explore the coast of Alaska. He provided sketches and paintings of numerous sites visited by the company. The cover image, entitled Camp of Indian Seal Hunters, shows a group of Tlingit natives at the mouth of Yakutat Bay in Southeast Alaska. The image appeared in volume 1 of the 1901 Harriman Expedition's published report, Alaska: Narratives, Glaciers, Natives

Many thanks to Mike Surber, graphic designer at Wipf & Stock, who designed the cover around Dellenbaugh's art!
